As the year comes to an end and we prepare to embrace all that 2016 has to offer, it is important to take a moment to reflect on what we accomplished in 2015. We sadly said good-bye to several staff members who retired, but we also welcomed several new attorneys and staff into the Owens & Perkins family. We are extremely grateful for all of our new and existing clients and the opportunity to make a meaningful and beneficial impact on their lives.
We also think it’s important to find ways to give back to the community that gives so much to us. To this end, the firm engaged in several volunteer projects throughout the year. In March, our team packed boxes with toiletry items and donated them to various homeless agencies and shelters across the valley. In April, in honor of Arizona Gives Day, Owens & Perkins donated to the Arizona Chapter of The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society and volunteered, for a second year in a row, at Feed My Starving Children. On June 27th, we participated in the Wills for Heroes program which works with local firefighters to prepare their estate planning documents. During the week of September 14th – 18th, Owens & Perkins had its first clothing drive to benefit the Arizona Humane Society. On November 21st, we collected donations for St. Mary’s Food Bank Alliance’s Super Saturday Turkey Drive event, and we ended the year by purchasing holiday gifts for foster kids through Hope & A Future AZ. Our efforts were not only impactful on those in need, but they also provided a meaningful and enlightening experience for all of us at Owens & Perkins. We will not only continue these activities in 2016 but increase our efforts to aid those less fortunate.
We are extremely grateful for all the successes and achievements bestowed on us in 2015 and look forward to an exciting year ahead. On behalf of the Owens & Perkins team, we would like to wish everyone a joyous and peaceful holiday season and a safe and happy New Year!
