December 2016 – Volunteering

As we say goodbye to 2016 and usher in 2017, it’s time to look back as well as look forward. Here at Owens & Perkins, Attorneys at Law we are very proud that our firm has been able to make such a difference in our client’s lives for generations after generations over the years. In fact, we will be celebrating our 50 year anniversary next year and we hope that you will celebrate with us.

In addition to serving our clients, we also try to make a difference in others’ lives in our community by volunteering our time to help those in need. In 2016, we volunteered for several very worthwhile organizations. For instance, we prepared Mother’s Day gift baskets for Maggie’s Place, an organization that provides housing and an extended family for expectant mothers and parenting women. We put together fifty (50) shoeboxes for Shoebox Ministry (20 for men, 20 for women and 10 for families). Shoebox Ministry is an organization which helps homeless men, women and families in the Valley by providing a shoebox of toiletries, socks, etc. In October, we teamed up with Feed My Starving Children to package meals for malnourished children throughout the world. The food we packed was headed all the way to the Philippines! And, in November we volunteered for St. Mary’s Food Bank at the Super Saturday Turkey Drive to collect food, money and turkeys for those families in our community that are less fortunate and in need.

As we look back at 2016 we are both proud of our service and grateful for our accomplishments. While we do not know what 2017 will bring, we do know that our firm and our employees will continue our 49 year legacy of dedication to all of our clients and the community. We look forward to the opportunity in the coming year to continue to make a lasting impact in the lives of the people we work with, work for and live with in our community.

On behalf of all of us at Owens & Perkins, Attorneys at Law, we thank you for a wonderful 2016 and we look forward to seeing you in 2017. From our firm to you and your family, we wish you a very happy and safe holiday season and a tremendously prosperous new year.

Please note: We will be closing our offices on December 26, 2016 and January 2, 2017, so that we may enjoy the holidays with our families. Happy Holidays!
