Orders of Protection Now Stay in Effect for 2 Years Governor Ducey signed House Bill 2604, which was unanimously passed by the House and Senate, extending the effective duration of an Order of Protection from one year to two years after the defendant has been served and extends an Emergency Order of Protection to seven days after issuance.
