Orders of Protection Now Stay in Effect for 2 Years

 

Governor Ducey signed House Bill 2604, which was unanimously passed by the House and Senate, extending the effective duration of an Order of Protection from one year to two years after the defendant has been served and extends an Emergency Order of Protection to seven days after issuance. Governor Ducey stated “Arizona does not tolerate domestic abuse or violence, and we will never stop working to protect victims and their rights.” For more information on Orders of Protection, visit our website.

Arizona Attorneys Respond Free Legal Clinic

One of our attorneys, Patricia Lenzner, recently volunteered to provide free consultations in the area of family law through a free legal clinic hosted by the State Bar of Arizona.

Through Zoom videoconferencing, the volunteers provided consultations to over 40 people seeking assistance.
