January 2022 – Happy New Year

Happy New Year from Owens & Perkins: A Note from our Managing Partner

Happy New Year to you and your family!

What a year (or two) it’s been! Needless to say, each of us has experienced a great deal of change, adversity, and uncertainty. While acknowledging the struggles we faced in 2021, it is time for all of us to embrace the possibilities of the new year to come.

My approach to the new year very much reflects the way we practice law:

Whether our clients are going through a tough divorce or simply preparing an estate plan, many feel anxiety and a great deal of stress while experiencing major life changes and making big decisions. I’ve always emphasized the importance of keeping a future-oriented mindset to guide them through these difficult times and feelings of uncertainty.

Despite the current circumstances, the future is bright– even if you can’t see it right now. I always ask my clients “What do you want? What does the future look like?” so that we can get you there.

With an established vision for the future and a drop of hope, even if both are vague and seem out-of-reach, our clients are able to not only get through some of the toughest experiences of their lives, but build a better future for themselves and their families– reaching pinnacles they didn’t know were possible.

As 2021 draws to a close (bye-bye!), I think it’s safe to say that each of us is ready for a fresh start. We may not wake up on January 1st to look in the mirror and see a “New Year, New Me”, but we will find a better, more hopeful tomorrow. Cheers to new beginnings!

Wishing you and yours a safe, peaceful, and rejuvenating New Year celebration, anticipating all of the wonderful and exciting things to come!
