This month we’d like to take the opportunity to introduce and welcome Nicole Stearns to the firm. We are so excited to have her aboard. Nicole is a graduate of Central Washington University (B.A. 1987) and Gonzaga University School of Law (J.D. 1990). Upon admission to the Washington State Bar in November, 1990, she joined the Franklin County Prosecutor’s Office. During her tenure as a Deputy Prosecuting Attorney, she tried and won many jury and bench trials. In 1995, she joined the law firm of Critchlow, Williams & Schuster, P.S., in Richland, Washington, where she continued as a trial attorney in the areas of criminal law, personal injury, and family law. From 2002 until 2005, Nicole maintained her own firm, with a continuing emphasis on trial practice and litigation. In 2005, Nicole and her husband decided to move to Arizona to be closer to family. Coming from a very close-knit Greek family, being around her family was more important than any of the trials and tribulations of having to close her law practice and take another bar exam! In fact, when Nicole’s parents found out she was moving; they decided to sell the house they had been living in for 40 years and move to Arizona as well. And in typical Greek fashion, they not only moved to Arizona, but moved in to the house next door! If you’ve seen “My Big Fat Greek Wedding,” then you have some idea about life in the Stearns (Karagianes) household! Upon gaining admission to practice law in the State of Arizona in October of 2005, Nicole focused her practice on civil litigation. She has worked on a wide variety of cases, including a multi-million dollar construction defect case and a large commercial lease dispute. She tried both cases to million dollar plus verdicts for her clients. Nicole’s current practice includes all areas of commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, malpractice claims, partnership disputes, construction defect, and real property disputes. As we continue to grow, our focus will remain to provide our clients with cost effective, results oriented legal representation. We believe Nicole will be a great addition to our already stellar legal roster. If we can be of service to you, please call us at (480) 630-2464 to schedule a frr 30-minute phone consultation.
